Q. When does the legal publishing
need to be completed by?
A. You have 120 days from the date of formation of your LLC to file
the certificate of publication.
Q. What happens if I don't publish
my LLC?
A. Failure to comply with the NY LLC publishing law will result in
"suspension" of your limited liability company.
Q. What happens if I don't
complete the legal publishing on time?
A. Your LLC will be "reinstated" upon filing of the Certificate of
Publication.
Q. How long does the process take?
A. While the advertising itself runs for 6 weeks, the entire process
can take about 10-12 weeks with newspaper lead-in time, obtaining
affidavits, submitting the certificate to the state, processing by
the state, and mailing the certified copy to you.
Q. What will I receive at the end
of the LLC publishing process?
A. We will send you a filing receipt from the state which is proof
of your compliance with the New York LLC legal publishing law.
